Missed the Free Bikram Yoga Sessions because I didn’t have a yogamat . Silly me, I never got around to buying one so I put it off and I ended up missing quality sessions with yoginis. There are Mats online and in sports stores but I didn’t know which one to go for. I’d grab one today along with virtual projector mounts Must type it on that shopping list.
I used to go running every morning although its a great sport I kind of find it lonely. I haven’t tried those races so although after a morning run I need a pulse oximeter it never gave me the satisfaction of dancing with a group or doing my dvds ( which I could pretend I’m dancing with a group ha ha) I liked cycling more, pilates, Zumba and yoga. Sadly I can’t make it with this sport that would really make you slim down, lose weight and give you more endurance.

I now resemble a Panda and could pass as an SUV with an suv bike rack. You should never have vacation diets because you feel depressed in the end. So when you’re depressed you get a gallon of ice cream and wallow in misery. So the next morning you step on the weighing scale and see those numbers.
You jump down again, open the fridge and grab that bag of Kisses. Yes! There is no hope lol.
So I tried running, not the easiest thing in the world. I read from Cool Running dot com about the Couch to 5k Running plan and I like that you can pace yourself. On the first week, you actually need a chain hoist to make me run again after the first 20 seconds but I got the hang of it. I’m still on the 2nd week but it gets to be an addicting thing to do each morning. I did have some back pain during the first week and I found out I was slouching a bit so it strains my upper and lower back. Hardly a runner at this pace more of a jogger but I like how it feels. You should try it.
Here’s a tip before you watch those discounted movies, you can actually grab weights and work it. You can sit there on the couch and use handweights, flex your arms while watching. Better yet, start with arm stretching. Did you know you can burn a few calories while watching movies? Not enough to burn those hash browns you had for breakfast so a bit more effort is needed. Use those weights.
I just got these running shoes so I guess I better start running. So I did at 5am around the village. Getting asked by strange men how my run is. So I just put on my ipod shuffle so I won’t have to hear them. Well, it was my first time to run gotta get back in shape after eating everything in sight the previous holiday. It was actually kinda nice, you should try it. I saw the sun rise, there was a bit of a breeze listening to good ol Bob Marley so It felt like I was running by the beach. Someday I hope I can do a 3k. Went home and drank my wheatgrass.
As with any struggling mom on weight loss, I have been a very bad girl this month. Meeting friends for lunch and dinner. Trade show booth displays hopping for Christmas gifts. I did gain a lot of weight and I’m scared to step on the scale. I’m not going out till next February when I lose it all back again ha ha. I did try to start the Nestle Fitness one but I just ate it all too much. So back to the drawing board.
We headed out late in the afternoon to buy a bike for hubby. We have been lazy for about a week now. Skipping on our exercise routines and just eating like there’s no tomorrow. Hence the immediate acknowledgement of the tightening of our waistbands lol. It’s been a while since I rode a bike, it felt like I need multiple casters at the rear wheel so I can move. I’ll leave the cycling stuff to him and I’ll stick to my striptease and Zumba videos. Soon, I’ll be taking up a new sport. I’ll let you know.
I read in a forum that Bellydancing has helped her trim off her tummy fats. Interesting, I actually haven’t tried it. I could imagine what my daughter would look like watching me. I thought that required dancing skills. Maybe I should try it and see if it works more than Zumba. So far it’s my favorite exercise so far.
