I smoked once for a couple of months when I was younger. The reason I stopped was a month of coughing bout. Smoking Lucky Strikes thinking I was cool and all that. It certainly was not cool when I started coughing every few minutes. It not only hurts, people would slooowly start to move further away thinking I have a horrible disease.
Now, losing weight is in a way sort of like quitting smoking. It is both an addiction, one to food and the other to looking like an exhaust pipe. I remember my mom saying when a few young relatives of ours excused themself to smoke “They don’t think it hurts now but they would finally find out when they get a bit older.” I think that’s what happens, you smoke and smoke now because seriously you don’t feel sick, don’t feel it matters and you could deal with it later.
Truth is, if you quit early then you can benefit from it’s effects. Did you know that smoking can actually cause stains on your teeth, pre mature aging and damage your organs. The last being the foremost of your worries because smoking can cause heart attack, lung disease, cancer. You laugh now but the day will come when you cry in pain and wish you can turn back time and quit when you were young.
