Have a break, have a drink

Unless you have a body that is perfect in all aspects you should not worry about working out or going to the gym. We all have to work in conditions which makes us feel tired. The best way to refresh yourself will be to get a nice shower and some rest. Eating your favorite fruit or freshly made juice can also provide you with the much needed nutrition. People prefer to use energy drinks during workouts or when they are overworked to help them recharge themselves. This is also true that these drinks may have side effects. Instead drinking a juice made from fresh fruits or vegetables is a perfect alternative.

Scared of Alzheimers

The Alzheimer’s disease is preventable. It was proved that more than half of Alzheimer’s disease could be checked if the people change their lifestyle a little. Some of the main reasons behind this life threatening disease are, (a) no or a little exercise, (b) high blood pressure at middle age, (c) diabetes, (d) obesity, (e) prolonged untreated depression, (f) smoking, and (g) less education. In Alzheimer Association’s International Conference it was discussed that more than 25 percent of Alzheimer’s cases can be reduced by taking some preventive measures accordingly. Change your eating habits and other related lifestyle drastically, especially after 40. Try to avoid fried food, eat plenty of raw fruits and vegetables, eat fruits instead of fruit juices, drink 7 to 8 glasses of water and do exercises in whatever form you like. To maintain your mental health, always try to learn a new thing. Reading newspapers and books, doing a crossword puzzles or sudoku, listening music and instruments, learning a new language or playing an instrument may stop the advancement of this disease at your doorstep.

Oats anyone?

Oat (Scientific Name: Avena sativa L.) is a cereal and originated in Scotland. It is still a national diet of the people of this country. This cereal can be used in many ways as a food product though it is not a refined product and rather is termed as a ‘whole food’. The Oat kernel is rolled or crushed into oatmeal or may be further crushed into fine oat flour. Ideally this should be eaten at breakfast, cooked with water or milk (as porridge) and can be mixed with fruits and nuts. It can be eaten hot or cold and is an ideal way to provide the body with energy throughout the morning. It digests slowly, thus keep you feeling full longer. Oats contains more soluble fiber than any other cereals and it is the only cereal which contains protein. 100 gram of oats provides 390 Kcal of energy level. Studies have shown that it can help in many diseases like diabetes, high cholesterol, and helps women through mood swings during menopause. It also has cancer fighting properties. So try to have a bowl full of it during breakfast everyday and drive away the diabetes, high-cholesterol, high blood pressure and keep your body-mass-index (BMI) under control.

Why should a computer professional exercise ?

There are number of reasons why we should exercise. First and foremost is to avoid getting sick and to remain healthy. Brisk walking is advised to all individuals who sit in front of their computers for hours. People that have to use computers for their work normally have stiff back and muscles that are stressed out. Stretching exercises and light workout of any sort is recommended. Exercising helps to maintain the blood flow throughout the body and help in replacing dead body cells. Your muscles get stronger and you feel alert after you exercise daily. Your immune system also needs to be improved by proper intake of nutrients in the form of vegetables and fruits.
